about
Robin Schultes
Robin was born 1972 and grew up in Arlington, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington where she studied printmaking and metalsmithing. Long before learning the art of glassblowing, Robin was inspired by a public-television program on art glass. During her second year at University, the school developed a glass program, and Robin fell in love with the medium, quickly becoming immersed in the Art of Glass. With the encouragement of David Keens (head of the glass studio at UTA) she excelled and was accepted into the MFA program in Glass at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. There she also met her future husband and glass-partner, Patrick!
Robin and Patrick live and work in Toledo’s Old West End historic district, near the Toledo Museum Of Art. There, Robin is currently teaching a variety of glass blowing and flame working classes.
